[KR866] Keiser Report: Fine Print Reality vs Big Print Dreams

We discuss all the small print taking away the big print hopes and dreams. In the second half, Max interviews Dr. Chris Day of 54000doctors.org and his lawyer, Tim Johnson, about the recent strike by junior doctors and the war against whistleblowers paving the way for privatisation.

    @ poopysnot. re bribes I am not sure of the threshold when large bribes are considered legal, probably varies from country to country. But it is a fact that really large bribes are never prosecuted either. Once a certain value is reached they are deemed incentives, motivation, political donations, lobbying, business expenses, quantitative easing, etc etc

    What a fairy tale world that.

    No friendly fire;
    No accidents all is intentional;
    All events go to plan or are disrupted deliberately;
    No rain falls on parades;

    All happens at the behest of grey Anglo Jewish lizards from outer space.

    No discussion there then.
    Well none from here in the real world!

    Desperation setting in.

    Australia has never had a big gun culture.
    The people who had illegal guns still have illegal guns. I think casual hunters (shooters) have to think a bit more. No more spot lighting of public roads. Otherwise nothing has changed. I never heard of anyone tooling up for fear of violence, unless they were expecting trouble from a known source. Auto rifles are banned for shooting, but honestly if you carnt drop a buffalo with a bolt action high powered rifle you should not be out on your own.
    Anyone of good character can own a gun by joining a gun club.
    I think more mass murders have been committed in Australia by burning down buildings. Its your mindset more than your tool chest that creates havoc.
    Gun culture is more a big dick thing than any thing else.

  11. To try to debate guns with yanks is like talking to a parrot.
    Waste of breath. Heck they must like slaughter.

  13. YoLithos says:

    Articles from PC Magazine and Pando Daily reported that Geshuri was at the center of a 2007 exchange between Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt, the respective CEOs of Apple and Google at that time. Pando published Geshuri’s e-mail responding to Schmidt, in which he apologized for a Google recruiter trying to hire an Apple employee.

    On this specific case, the sourcer who contacted this Apple employee should not have and will be terminated within the hour. We are scrubbing the sourcer’s records to ensure she did not contact anyone else.

    In general, we have a very clear “do not call” policy (attached) that is given to every staffing professional and I reiterate this message in ongoing communications and staffing meetings. Unfortunately, every six months or so someone makes an error in judgment, and for this type of violation we terminate their relationship with Google.

    Please extend my apologies as appropriate to Steve Jobs. This was an isolated incident and we will be very careful to make sure this does not happen again.

    That e-mail was followed up by a response from another Google HR manager, who encouraged Geshuri to “please make a public example of this termination within the group.”

    Minsky’s contributions to knowledge and A.I. were as invaluable as his eccentricities were impressive. Not only did he seem to embody a sort of packrat view of cognition and reality, he was also a paedophobe who advocated legal abortion retroactive up to the age of sixteen. Among other surprising opinions.

    Prompts Disturbing New Call For ‘No Child Policy’

    Strange, but the internet is now flooded with reports that GM mosquitoes can be used to FIGHT the “Zika virus”; no mention of the suspicions that GM mosquitoes might have caused the encephalitic outbreak! That would be a brilliant PR move 😉

    You need to exclude “transgenic” from the search to get articles like this…

    Of course, coincidence theory shrugs and cock-up theory smiles sheepishly, if you even countenance the deliberate spreading of the “Zika-virus” birth deformities.

    I’m not suggesting that it is deliberate — I just think it should’nt be dismissed. The 10th man and all that 😛

    Antibiotic-Dependent, Blood-Sucking Genetically Engineered Mosquitoes… What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

    Unfortunately, like so many other things, neither the government nor the biotech companies can offer peer-reviewed scientific proof of the safety of their biotechnology—they have blithely rushed ahead without any concern about the long-term effects. Once released, these insects cannot be “recalled.” There are several problemsvii with the assumption that these genetically engineered bugs are safe for the human population. For starters:

    Congress Is Writing The President A Blank Check For War

    The senior Senator from Kentucky is scheming, along with Sen. Lindsey Graham, to bypass normal Senate procedure to fast-track legislation to grant the president the authority to wage unlimited war for as long as he or his successors may wish.

    Let’s be clear: If Senate Majority Leader McConnell succeeds in passing this open-ended war authorization, the US Constitution will be all but a dead letter.

    WILLIAM K. BLACK: Well, certainly in the financial sphere, I am. I think, first, the policies are substantively bad. Second, I think they completely lack integrity. Third, they violate the rule of law. This is being done just like Secretary Paulson did it. In violation of the law. We adopted a law after the Savings and Loan crisis, called the Prompt Corrective Action Law. And it requires them to close these institutions. And they’re refusing to obey the law. ”
