If you’ve ever raised kids, it’s a great day for celebration when “Mikey” can finally feed himself a bowl of Life Cereal. It’s an even greater day when Mikey can buy his own box of genetically modified breakfast. The great thing about monopolies, at least according to an NYU Finance Professor is that “There may be a tipping point where size feeds itself.”
The tough thing about free markets, competition and price discovery was always that those who failed… had to go out and find another way to feed themselves. For anyone who has failed to achieve SIZE, is not a shareholder in Tesla, or a SNAP (supplemental nutrition program) card carrier, there is soon to be plenty of opportunity cultivating Roundup Ready crops in former subdivisions of Detroit now that they can finally get the go ahead to dig up the streets.
