DAILY MAIL–Plans have been drawn up for an advertising campaign denouncing Britain as cold and wet to deter Romanians and Bulgarians from coming to the UK.

Ministers are working on ideas to prevent an influx of immigrants from Eastern Europe when restrictions are lifted on citizens from the two countries moving to the EU next New Year’s Day.

A public information campaign would warn those considering a move that they won’t be able to cash in on state largesse – and that the weather is bad.

Which of these two images would scare you more if you were a Bulgarian or Romanian?

  1. Bruce says:

Dude up top has super-excellent teeth; the ones that are super-excellent anyway.

Second pic is far more frightening.
Romanians and Bulgarians should stay put.

  2. Commentariat says:

Ministers are working on ideas to prevent an influx of immigrants from Eastern Europe?

That’s ripe… Ministers have been working on ideas for 50 years now to increase immigration from overseas.

In point of fact, Tony Blair & Jack Straw believed it so important to destroy British Sovereignty (and replace it with multiculturalism) that the population could NEVER find national cohesion or unify against unpopular government ever again.

    Divide and Conquer.

The British are not just being invaded… they are being replaced by an army of economic migrants determined by an unelected Eurozone Government.

As Nigel Farage commented “Cameron… we want that referendum –NOW!”

  3. gussy says:

    Me British, you savage.

  4. randomSerb says:

im a Serb and being a neighboor of Romanians and Bulgars, even if its not me the one who should answer, but i have to say that the first picture looks nice, like a bilboard for the movie braveheart or somethin like that while for the second,i dont think their english is good enough to understand whats the warning about.and the thing about the weather?please, the weather on the balkans is shitty as well..they gonna fit in just fine 🙂

  5. Peter Jennings says:

Maybe ministers would be better just doing their jobs instead of going on long expensive lunches with their business partners in works time and jollies abroad , paid first class by the taxpayers (who will soon be extinct).

Clarke, as home secretary, once famously admitted that he didn’t even know how many immigrants had actually made it to the UK. He was told months beforehand that there was a problem but choose to sit on his lazy arse, take the money, spout his PR and hope it would all go away. Then he resigned, like his predecessor. Let’s hope the trend continues.

  6. R. Freiherr v. Wackendonk says:

The bleedin chompers are too white!

  7. Mike Judge says:

I hear that Romanians are also working on a campaign to keep wealthy & filthy royals from Britain from coming into Romania. The scarecrow of the campaign is of course Dracula running wild through the Transylvanian forests sucking blood of hobby hunters.

  8. @PeterJennings. When I was there they could have used some competent plumbers from anywhere. Has that csituation changed?

  9. seon company says:

It’s not about the competent, trained migrants people are worried about. It’s the unskilled truckloads of poor people who have no skills and nothing to contribute. there are no jobs for those people so they just end up living off the system. Ireland is full of Romanian begging on the streets. Not because they have to. but because it’s literally part of their culture to get money! Just ask people for it. They have a guy who drops them off and picks them up each day at their begging spots. it’s a whole industry, both here and the UK. We don’t need those kind of migrants. Not while our own country is suffering austerity. Not now!!!

  10. Peter Jennings says:

@williambanzai7…could have been a Roman plumber, a Viking plumber, a Norman plumber, a Scottish plumber. It matters not. It’s the plumbing that counts.
I’t’s hardwired human nature to try to improve things for oneself. No one can be blamed for that no matter where they hail from.
It’s impossible to justify to anyone the insistence on sticking to the rules when those imposing them have different rules they live by.

Lots of unemployed have been very handy for some US and Australian companies.
