a national action day of chalking banks would be terrifying to the elite.

    Well done Alex!

  2. Harry says:

    Indeed well done Alex!

Did Alex ask for compensation for his time in jail? (as he was not charged nor convicted he did nothing wrong…)
(‘in that time I could paint worth of 50 ounces of silver…’)

  3. LT Whitacre says:

His burning banks paintings are awesome.

  4. Mark Lytle says:

    also O.T.

  5. Flopot says:

Incredible in two ways. Firstly, the chalk protest itself (Schaefer has more guts than any of us) is incredibly clever and, secondly, the “valiant defender of Wells Fargo” is an incredible shill. Lol.

  6. Flopot says:

PS that shill has the dress and mannerisms of Obama Oo and that’s including the bullshit Oo

  7. Vonda Bra says:

    @ Alex

what, if you did it with wax crayon f.e., not chalk …. so it couldn´t be removed that easily?

  8. Silverwillwin says:

Good stuff Alex ! If I may make a suggestion -print in chalk how easily your sidewalk notes will be washed away so easily as the banking fraud should be also .

Knowledge is power…Thanks for raising the awareness in this important area.

It is amazing how the corporate bankers live criminal free lives when in all actuality they are perpetuating crimes that are directly putting millions of people into poverty !

  9. Flopot says:

That’s the whole point of using chalk.

  10. Paul says:

You’re an unlikely hero sir, but a hero non-the-less.
    Thank you for your efforts

  11. Goldman Sucks says:

I suppose it’s a catch 22 for the authorities in LA. If they charge him it will only bring more attention to his protest.

  12. MrJones says:

Well done Alex, you’re a hero.

@Mark Lytle. As soon as I heard the story hitting the airways I thought who funded that research. Plus the MSM covering this research never mentioned a major reason we buy organic. It takes Monsanto and Cargill out of the loop for one. It taste way better, and the list goes on.

  13. Uptick says:

    @ Alex
    Right on !
    Truth in chalk !
Its the best that you don’t give up . Wish there more people like Alex .

  14. IronCandy says:

Too funny because in german the action of “using chalk to write about someones bad deeds” has one word used for legal protest: “ankreiden”.
Anyway great job! Keep chalking for truth.

  15. Alf says:

    So simple yet so powerful…Wonderful.

—That’s the whole point of using chalk.—-

2 hours of great work to be seen by just a few and washed away in 30 seconds?

well , if that is the whole point … ?

  17. badsey says:

As we have seen in austerity-controlled Greece and Spain graffiti has become the new defacto popular/social anti-criminal media. While the power-wielding criminal elites have taken over (paid off) much of popular TV/radio and the internet(s).

I would implore Alex to use his visual art skills in other social media outlets like social clothing. -Print up a bunch of T-shirts Alex. =Make a visual ad T-shirt campaign for an official art social sidewalk protest. -then sell them on the internet. I feel you are onto something big here.

We are winning Oz-by-Oz in this battle over financial tyranny. =The silver and gold prices reflect that and the criminal TBTF banks are falling. The SLA message has never changed and indeed intends to “take physical silver off the market” and destroy the fake criminal controlled fiat silver market. =Buy phyz and stay away from fraudulent fiat debt.

  18. Nicholas says:

    This video also shows clearly:
    The minority: Informed
The Majority: 50% clueless, 50% enjoy to be taken for a ride by the banks and cheer them (usefull idiots).

Take your own conclusion, and I’ll take mine, the US is screwed.

  19. Flopot says:

The deliberate irony is that despite the harmless nature of Schaefer’s actions (washable graffiti ffs!), he is still arrested for telling the truth!

  20. Flopot says:

Schaefer is highlighting the police state (that protects the banksters) by utilizing the most innocuous of protests: no damage of property; no obstruction; no “disturbing the peace”. Just quietly chalking out the facts.

  21. Tom Jones says:

I call this Financial War Chalking … Nice work Alex! Keep educating the uninformed, unaware, illiterate masses. Some will take the blue pill and some will take the red pill.

—-The deliberate irony is that despite the harmless nature of Schaefer’s actions (washable graffiti ffs!), he is still arrested for telling the truth!—-

    I KNOW !!!!

but, well, he is not arrested for telling the truth, he´s arrested for “disfiguring” public places with “his” .. (and ours of course!) truth! Like in “indecent behavior”!
I don´t think it is all about CHALK!? … or the material he uses ….

So, if its done, why not do it with something that lasts longer to be observed, takes about the same time doing it, but would take so much longer to remove it? … that was my thought/point/question! 🙂

But I´m not familiar with to which LAW exactely that applies!!!!!

  23. Flopot says:

We’re as different as chalk and…um…crayon. It is called a “chalk protest” for a reason. The fact that crayon would be harder to remove is the entire point.

  24. Vonda Bra says:

    @ Flopot | September 8, 2012 at 9:32 pm |

    I´m giving up! 😀
Is it called “chalk protest” because it was done with chalk maybe?
would it have been called “crayon protest, if it was done with crayon etc..?
couldn´t it as well just be called PAVEMENT PROTEST or STREET ARTS PROTEST?????

so tell me, it is all about CHALK in the law? 😀

you have not the slightest clue either! 😀

the charge was for “Vandalism” !!!!!! … not chalk!!!!!!!!!

  25. Vonda Bra says:

    @ Flopot

PS: does the law differentiate between “vandalism with chalk” and “vandalism with other materials” ?????? 😉

    let me know!

  26. Flopot says:

You are the one who starting going on about the perishable nature of the drawing material. I made the point that that is the whole bloody idea of a “chalk protest”, i.e. the rain or some poor sod washes it easily away. If the stuff is harder to remove then it defeats the purpose of this type of protest.

  27. Flopot says:

PS and no I have not the slightest clue 😛

  28. Flopot says:

PS at this point we are supposed to fall in love and get married but that’s Hollywood bollocks for you 😉

  29. Flopot says:

OMFG I missed a P from that 2nd PPS. I am ashamed of myself 😉

  30. Flopot says:

Good luck with your “crayon protest”.

  31. Vonda Bra says:

    Flopot | September 8, 2012 at 9:55 pm |

    hahaha .. 😀

—-If the stuff is harder to remove then it defeats the purpose of this type of protest.—-

Yeah, but if!!! the stuff was harder to remove, maybe more people had a chance to
SEE it and start thinking/considering ???? any fucker (like the one in the vid) will instantly call the “purple shirts” to remove it instantly!!!! … and the political correct fuckers unfortunately are the majority!!!!

I hate, when that happens!!! 😀 …. thats all!

    @ ALEX

Alex, please, can you clear up any of my concerns? … or probably just think it over 😉 … and consider something that lasts longer, is harder to remove, for the purple public servants (that you pay for with your taxes!?)…. to take your heroic protest to the next level?
what you´re doing is much TOO precious for mankind to be washed away in an instant by goverment-morons, shortly after you´ve finished it ……

thats all I´m trying to say! THAT´s what bothers me and makes me cry!

anyway, GO ALEX!!! and THANKS A LOT!

  32. Vonda Bra says:

    @ Flopot | September 8, 2012 at 10:04 pm |

    get a grip! 😉 😀

in this discussion, at least to me, it was not only a “P” you missed …
but we can work it out! 😀
if we should eventually fall in love, and even think of getting married …
lets sign with chalk! 😀 … just in case! 😉

  33. Flopot says:

Imagine. A man with a piece of chalk (or crayon!) shows more courage and honesty than the entire US legislature.

  34. Flopot says:

“if we should eventually fall in love, and even think of getting married …
lets sign with chalk! 😀 … just in case! ;-)”

    Haha. Good one!

  35. Van says:

—-A man with a piece of chalk (or crayon!) more courage and honesty than the entire US legislature—–

yeah!!! … that is pretty easy to achieve in thought! …. but so hard to actually DO it!
Thats why Alex rightly will go down in history!

Anyway, I´d prefer crayon, or whatever, over chalk 😉 … or at least give it try … and I´d love to see Youtube-vids with the state-servants working hard to remove the stuff and lots of people watching it, filming it … and making comments … and bring about peaceful disturbance …

all that said, only if the law doesn´t only make it relatively safe with only chalk!?

  38. Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I want to see this happening every day, in every city, in front of every TBTF bank across the country! I think B of A is next. 🙂

  39. Vonda Bra says:

    @ alex schaefer | September 9, 2012 at 12:06 am |

    WE LOVE YOU!! 🙂

    B of A? great!
unfortunately Julian A. never lived up to his “promise” 🙁

  40. Vonda Bra says:

    Wiki-chalks! ? 😀

  41. I_Cant_Believe_Its_Just_a_Dip says:

@Alex, an off the wall suggestion so to speak, what about UV chalk, one could come back at night with a UV torch to help show the message. Harder to rub off of course because noone can normally see some of them!

  42. swell says:

Sure chalk is ephemeral. Doesn’t mean it’s not powerful.

Go write Ron Paul in crayon on your forehead , Problem solved . That should shut ya up.

  44. BB Rebozo says:

Now here is a “Land of the Free home of the Brave” and Creative man. Alex Schaefer, That a Man!

  45. Vonda Bra says:

    @ Uptick | September 9, 2012 at 1:50 am |

you make me laugh and cry at the same time!!! 😀
I really wish there would be anything to shut you up! 🙂
just to let you know…. You seem to be a pretty stupid man sometimes … or lets call it a very simple-minded person. That happens all the time … no problem with that in general, but you seem to be willing to tilt at windmills in a totally uncesessary, insulting way, against other posters – me! 🙂 .. whats that?
see a doctor, or another helping hand soon!

if you can? believe me, no one wants to read that kind of shit here!

Think whatever your capable of, no problem, but keep your pie hole shut, if you just want to offend other people or their thinking within a current debate over … well, whatever?

If you don´t like Ron Paul, thats totally ok, but who cares about that in a thread, dedicated to the great Alex Schaeffer? 😀

and btw, some people would probably have to write something on their foreheads to make themselves clear to others …. some, like YOU f.e., have it written there in plain sight already, for everyone to see, without knowing! … thats YOU! 🙂

    problem solved? … I don´t think so!
Be well! and when you post, show some respect, if nothing else!

and … live up to your nick!

PS: thanks for all the Detroit-news though … but its long we received any?

  46. BB Rebozo says:

I believe Max and Stacy are punk fans. Enjoy!
This is for those who enjoy acoustic, folk , Irish and Scottish Traditional. I learned this from Dick Gaughan. It’s called “Workers Song”

    @ BB Rebozo | September 9, 2012 at 2:54 am |

hey buddy! … so sorry to hear about your failed gardening experience! 🙁
My first little efforts to grow tomatoes on a “windowboard” (sic!) 😉 …were in danger many times as well this year, although we´re expecting some “Indian summer” now and my little experiment hopefully will still work out, as I was able to harvest some at least already… 🙂
but I know what you´re talking about, by always to have to bring them in … for weather-caper of all kinds …. so did I 🙂 ….anyway ….

Thanks for sharing “the workers song” 🙂

  48. BB Rebozo says:

    @ Vonda Bra

Thanks for your compassion about my poor, lovely garden that died.
Your welcome. You know, it is really just about reaching across the digital divide in a daily news kind of way, just sharing, nothing more.

Again, for those who would enjoy acoustic music.
I taught myself the Flute, Ha, so no classical or traditional training here.
I dedicate this song to the Chieftains and Matt Malloy. Well, here goes.

You could paint it faster than they can remove it.

  51. Sacramento Joe says:

Hi Alex….you are a true patriot.

  52. alan says:

Well done Alex! The banking criminals and their political protectors will be loosing sleep over this. What if everyone chalks, they will be forced to respond, and shown for the dipsticks they are.
