One has to ask the question, if silver is so rare, etc, wouldn’t the “market” have taken care of this. Why have we not heard reports from apple that they dont have enough silver to meet iSomething demand? If Silver is the achilles heel of the financial system. Why doesnt hamas, hezbollah and al quada not just buy all the inventory in the comex, causing a rupture. I think there are extremes are, one end says its a barbous relic another says its going extinct but both sides are playing us. We have to remember Max and Stacy are in show business with vested interest in one of the agendas. I honestly believe this ponzi will go on another 10 years, and there is a lot of room to inflate. At some point this will burst, but not in the near future. …

Alex, 15 billion oz left in the ground makes 2 oz per person forever end of story- and we are consuming nearly a billion oz per year making roughly 15 years available at current mining levels (which wont hold level of course) so your point is what exactly?

The only thing I take issue with is the wording-because other less well known elements could fall on the way side before that time-hafnium, gallium, indium and palladium being some lesser known examples. Have you taken a look at the neodynium price recently?

So, what does the post resource extinction world look like? With the present world of technology economics and automated replacement of people, will ‘iBods’ come to rule in a transhumanist future; will utter depletion of resource end in green with technological decay; or with there be a symbiotic fusion and synthesis of green technology? Is there a mutual incompatibility between naturally arising organic systems versus engineered technological systems?

Clearly, there is no shortage of material in the solar system (or universe for that matter) but there will be no reason to return these materials to the earth except perhaps as bits of technology for trade. Re-greening of the planet (if not incompatible with technology) with an expanding technological exploration/exploitation of extra-terrestrial resources makes as much sense as collapse into ruin.

Perhaps there will be a collapse first, before the phoenix rises. In any case, as long as there is consciousness there will be problems: whether they be economic, social, political, or personal. It’s what drives the expression of the morphogenetic field of technology and quite possibly of consciousness itself.

This piggy agrees somewhat with Alex, but sees the end-game sooner. The MINERS with significant 43-101 resources and management with even a quarter-clue are very much undervalued, and I see it so through the summer doldrums. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful time to continue stacking both Phyzz & quality miners, both Majors and quality juniors. The miners will outperform Phyzz %-wise, while Phyzz itself becomes recognized as the currency it’s always been. Both have their place at this swine’s table! OINK!!

    I second this 100%.
Max gets his analysis of the situation right, but not the answer.
He reminds me of those doctors that get the diagnosis right concerning your illness but end up killing the patient. :(
Max & Stacy are bright people, I hope they improve. There is life, there is hope…
I must admit I have NOT found a workable answer myself as yet. I am still searching crosscutting different ideas on the internet.
The true world powers (corporate powers) HAVE as well the right diagnosis but their hidden agenda is to kill the patient.
That’s were we are today as a sick society.

All i know is that 5 years or so ago, I got out of all paper, and put it all into silver.
The price has more than doubled since then…I am not complaining.

    Interesting Silver Dollar work…

The transparent chamber houses a charred American dollar bill and is capped with a dazzling silver stopper. The miniature capsule is strung on a delicate silver chain, finishing off this one-of-a-kind conversation piece.

The dollar bill is an iconic symbol of the brash American culture the brands look towards for inspiration. While dollar bills appear all the same on the surface, the wears and tears reflect each notes unique story. The capsule collection is the second accessory collaboration to be released by JAM HOME MADE and CLOT. The Scott Campbell Necklace is an exquisite cultural statement piece for those looking to stand out from other mainstream accessories.

Can’t wait till silver is extinct, I hate all those people playing with their Apple toys in public domain.

  16. Mary Genoud says:

The 2006 chart included in the post showed a decrease in consumption by 50% below 2006 rates to extend silver 20 years (2026). Afghanistan has one of the few untapped silver resources estimated in 2009 at 5.3 billion.

  17. Blah blah says:

With regards any material we get out of the ground, the low hanging fruits will eventually be exhausted and then we will have to look further afield. Talk is already turning to near Earth object mining and we must not lose sight of the fact that over 70% of the Earth is under an ocean and yet mostly untapped for minerals. Once scarcity pushes up price enough, new technology and risk will eventually come to a point where exploration beyond thermal vents will take place.

  18. Badsey says:

There is underwater mining around thermals -but it is really in its’ infancy. Other mining is ramping up (silver) production, but it takes time (years) and not every mine has the ability to do that. Silver is not going extinct since it is literally everywhere, but not profitable to mine at low ppB concentrations.

Right now you have increased pressure on physical silver. SLA is taking physical silver off the market and the naked fiat silver shorts are not going away. =Increased fiat silver volatility until one side gives up. SLA is winning the battle so far and more phyz stackers are coming online causing increased physical silver pressure.

SLA “takes physical silver off the market” -and it has been that way from day 1. All the silver fiat debt manipulation does and has never mattered to the SLA.
