More video of naked and closeted Kony crusader

Stacy Summary: It’s sad to see this but how many more frigging times do we need to see these evangelical leaders spreading anti-gay hate (in Russell’s case in Uganda) only for it to be that they are just obviously having problems with their own sexuality. And, by the way, why is the American public – especially those who claim to be religious – so drawn to these sexually repressed men? [Americans I might add are almost the exact mirror image of the French - both are arrogant but the French are drawn to men who should practice a little bit more sexual repression methinks.]

I am not religious (I do read and believe the Bible though) but life was more fun BEFORE I learned about sex. Yes, I was raised Cathaholic and I hated the thought of going to Hell for, say, looking at a Playboy but I wonder if it was more than that. I think a lot of people are tired of being jerked around by their gonads. And the times I have been able to abstain for a sufficiently long period life DID seem far more beautiful.

I don’t get my jollies looking at naked men but I decided to watch anyway. I had assumed that he was straight but looking at that video makes me think otherwise.

    But yeah, it’s sad.

is proof to me, that this is a CIA black ops operation.
THEY managed to get Obama to respond and pledge troops to Uganda!

Just like Cheney was able to “respond” with war to NYT’s and WaPo’s Saddam’s-

  5. LOL. I’ll second the MK Ultra comment.

  6. MEJ says:

Yup, I vote for MK Ultra. This guy acts like he is on drugs. It makes me wonder what he actually uncovered with the Kony video. Certainly the real villain is not some has-been warlord who may even be dead by now. Who wants this guy discredited?

  7. Given accusations that Kony 2012 is a psy-op – backed by some very dodgy people that include Barry Soetoro, Soros, inter alia – which has backfired spectacularly across social media, might this not be a case of Jason Russell having been drugged and let loose as a damage-limitation exercise designed to deflect attention? It wouldn’t be the first time, now would it? Thought the Kony 2012 initiative the US has been caught out in its planning of invading Africa – supposedly to get some bad guy (Kony) but in reality to seize mineral and other assets.

Entertainment through sympathetic experience of another person’s agony is safer than having your own life. We can also sit in judgement, if it’s a negative act, thinking we are somehow better than that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he has gay tendencies himself or he was sexually abused by one his religious priests as a boy.

Correct. From the French movies I have watched, the French have reduced sex to a meaningless absurdity. Even guilt is better than that, imo.

    My question:
Is he a product of evangelical christianic sexual repression?
Whereas the indomitable combined intelligence of this board just recently established that
    a) the more evangelical a region in the US the more porn it consumes
    b) the more ardent congressional fighters trample on gay’s rights the more likely it is they are one time to be seen in male’s toilets, offering to entertain other male’s genitals

Anyway, I hope that the film did promote the idea of chocking the moneyflow to this Kony guy and in that way stopping him and his group, but to play on stereotypes, if Russell is an evangelical american I guess it is all about getting a military intervention.

He wasn’t evangelical(Stacy uses a very modern pejorative definition of the word), and people who have a modicum of knowledge concerning christian religu0s text’s would most likely avoid attributing any association Jason Russel has to Jesus, due to the obvious contradictions between what Jesus taught and how Russel behaves.

  27. H.Lang says:

    @ Talcott
Can you tell me, do those “Evangelical Christians” really exist? Or are they some kind of bogeyman? From time to time they are blamed for being the evil force behind many things.

“Evangelical Christians” are, in my opinion, the really nice Christians – the ones who go door-to-door, are really sweet, etc. I don’t count myself among them though I do try to be nice to those I encounter in my day-to-day life.

  31. Talcott says:

Well H Lang if you insist I do the research for you on the etymology and history of the word evangelical you may be disappointed, as I have already done this on here at Max’s site last year.

And to answer you query, I need more information. Which ‘evangelical’s’ are you referring to? From my point of view it is multifaceted. For example if I use the word here at Max’s site the word may mean someone like Russel who CLAIMS to be a “evangelical christian”(is this even true? that russel gave himself this delineation?) yet there behavior has nothing to do with what it means to be evangelical to another group of people If I use the word ‘evangelical christian’ at most church’s/christian social groups it basically mean a christian that evangelizes(communicates the good news of God taking responsibility for man’s shortcomings).

@Talcott – what do you mean he’s not evangelical? Here he is being interviewed for a Relevant Magazine podcast a few years ago talking about being born again when he was 5 and how he first started travelling to Africa then as a child missionary: http://www.relevantmagazine.com/god/mission/features/20760-qaa-invisible-childrens-jason-russell
And here he is giving speech at evangelical Christian university: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkB8o5VWAjE where he tells students how to use “extremely low-key, or stealth evangelism.”
Here is a piece looking at all the far right creationist groups financing Russell’s ‘charity’ including the National Christian Foundation which is major financier for The Family – THE most powerful establishment evangelicals out there – so why are they backing him if he’s not one of them?: http://blogs.alternet.org/speakeasy/2012/03/11/invisible-children-funded-by-antigay-creationist-christian-right/

Just because he states over and over that he hides his evangelicalism intentionally so as to deceive doesn’t mean he isn’t one

This guy is cursed. He crossed a lot of Africans. He convinced video participants he was making a video that would help poor people in the region. Do you think people are excited for Genocide #2 the repeat at the hands of the Ugandan army? No. Africa operates on a different wavelength than the west. You can be cursed if your spirits not right. This guy didn’t snapped from drugs or alcohol. He snapped because he played games with the lives of Central Africans. The Africans cursed him and he went crazy. We don’t believe stuff like that here but spend some time in the great lakes region and you will understand. He deserves his fate.

  38. F. Beard says:

    @Stacy,

Yes, the Bible is anti-homosexual behavior but it is anti-every-other-sin including heterosexual lust, adultery, lying, usury from one’s own countrymen, counterfeiting, oppression of the poor, disrespect of one’s parents, you name it.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

  39. H.Lang says:

    @Talcott
In Europe there are Protestants (a.k.a. Lutherans, what the Roman Catholics call “Evangelics”, ok, in some national varieties like Anglicans), Calvinists and some Baptists, Methodists, 7th Day Adventists, Jehova’s Witnesses and that’s basically it.

I understand that the religious landscape in the US is more multifaceted and not necessarily always on the conservative political side. But one almost always hears only about the “crazies” with strange political agenda.

My question was if those “crazies” are a significant part of the Evangelical Christians or if they are more an artificial tool created by some political interests and simultaneously the bogeyman for the left (thus giving 90 % of believers a bad press).
But for I sense the complexity an adequate answer had to adress, and the time that would need, I withdraw my question. :-)

  43. Talcott says:

    Stacy

Perhaps our definitions of the word ‘evangelical’ differ.

I’m saying, claiming to be a christian doesn’t make one so and by extension any sub-variant word that denotes said subdivision.

The first link you provided has only one mention of God
“but thank God we have five or more amazing disciplinarians, and implementers, and people who understand the reasons the rules exist”, I see nothing “evangelical” in this quote even tangentailly given it’s full context.

Sorry I don’t want to make time to watch Russel’s speech in your second link, is there something pertinent to this discussion that he says in it? Are you suggesting because he spoke at a “evangelical” university(does liberty U give themselves this distinction or are you giving it to them?) he is an evangelical?

The third article, I won’t argue these faux christian groups exist intermingle and further each other’s end. But they ARE NOT evangelical unless you are using a more modern redefinition of the word. They are not sharing the gospel of Jesus which IS the historical meaning of evangelical. Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.

  56. Steven Rowlandson says:

Frankly the world is just too damned crazy for my tastes.
Considering the topic of this webpage I think there are some basic truths or rules that need to be understood. Most of it is simple logic or common sense.
Rule #1 Genuine anti gay people are not gay.
#2 There are no gay christians in gods universe.
#3 Going with out sex due to economic, legal problems or lack of opertunity does not make a person gay, just underprivileged.
#4 Having morals, manners or being a bit smarter than the next person doesn’t make one gay either.

#5 Yes it is true that the death penalty is still in effect for homosexuality. Gods laws
are superior to mans laws and can not be repealed.

Infact law making is a divine power and human law making very well might contradict the 10 commandments. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”, that could include politicians and other public officials who like to play god by making laws.
If you allow humans to make laws there will be no end to laws and taxes. Laws should not be made. they should be discovered in holy writ.
By human laws , tradition, favoritism and political correctness , natural and devine law is made to be of no effect and society goes to hell in a hand basket. Which is where we are today.

I am not religious (I do read and believe the Bible though)

Uh?! How the hell does that work then?

Out of interest, which version of the bible do you believe? You do realise that it has been re-written many times with changed meanings to suit the propganda of those who paid for the re-writing and publishings?

If Goldman Sachs had funded a re-writing of the bible to be given out to all the poor of the land and the poor of every invaded country (if it hadn’t been done before) then would you now be believing that?

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

  59. Nat says:

If what you say is the case then all a human need do (a wealthy and vengeful dictator say) is dress up their own laws as if they came from a ‘god’ and get the nature fearing peasants to believe it (or be punished).

Then you have humans who carry out your wishes till the end of time and they refuse to take orders from anyone else. The beauty of it is that they will also refuse to use their natural gifts of reason or empathy to denounce those words of ‘god’..

    Funny old world isn’t it?

Nope, I still don’t see how it’s showing that you’re not religious..

What you’ve quoted is the kind of stuff I would write to make people feel wrong or guilty or each other wrong or guilty for not believing the propganda I’d just written. It is basically an instruction to tell the stupid people to put great social pressure on the more intelligent and independant minded to conform to the book .

Excellent bit of psy-ops from way back when. Same thing really that is used to get people to become suicide bombers etc

  66. F. Beard says:

We all have inborn tendencies to sin but unless one indulges those tendencies one cannot be called a sinner wrt a particular sin.

Like for example, Jim Carrey–imagine doing drugs with the likes of him–would be possible to see all types of characters come out of the guy’s mind. I had friends like this in college–they could go into character on demand.

Besides, being Christian, or having faith in the spirit world, doesn’t make one gay… just makes them a victim to fairytales!

MK Ultra, sexual repression, evangelical zeal, George Soros,…?

You, I, Alex Jones, and no one on this comment board knows what happened here. I’d start with the wife’s statement, and go from there. Was he really in a state of extreme exhaustion and dehydration? Because of the viral event of his video? Is the simplest explanation, as expressed by his wife, the closest to the truth? It’s obvious to me he is a C** operative. I don’t care where they say his funding came from.

    @ F Beard

I see your point then. I live in a kind of London middleclass world (possibly fairly different from non-metropolitain london middleclass worlds) so just reading the bible around these parts would be considered religious. Believing it to be the truth would then in my book be perhaps more religious than actually going to church as many just go to church for social or habitual reasons or feel they should (normally before getting married in that same church).

    It’s all relative.

P.S. F Beard, I do appreciate your calmness of comment. It’s unfortunately unusual on forums and comment boards – so easy for people to take things the wrong way and start to get angry. Mucho respect.

This guy though… to me he is so obviously trying to escape the chains of the immediate society around him and wanting to just be himself, his god-given self some may say. That includes being gay.

I see religious texts as being so drenched in human predudices and psychology that, even if god does exist, these texts are nothing more than humans excerting their own will on others.. Homosexuality existed long before these texts were written. It was just some group of people who didn’t like it that then decided they’d write it in to the next religious text..

This human take over of religion must be something that a god must despare over.. constantly slapping his hand against his head (of course he’s in a human form and male, to match the writer’s ego) and wishing under his breath that these idiots just go and destroy themselves and their egos but please leave him his lovely other animals to enjoy.

This guy would have been made a star had he been in the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest !

I wouldn’t tie overall religion into this case study.
It’s nature and overall action defines isolated and individual tendencies.

On a positive note at least he is not molesting young children or is that the next shoe to drop?

    Ha ha you people.
There is only one law and its not even that, do no harm.
Every other thing is a guilt trip some human thought up to control others.

    Divide and conquer.

For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.

But what about the opposite of opposite and equal, that is where there is equilibrium.

We are all magnets, dipoles, positive and negative.

Look to the center of the magnet, the bloch wall if you will, find your equilibrium that is where the creator is, not some expression of a polarity.

Mk ultra, gay, evangelical, phys ops, monopoly, fiat, ect, low vibrations for humans.

What you focus on you become, the frequencies, the energy.

    love and gratitude
