Just look at this map. I’ve never seen anything like it in terms of people all across Europe demanding their freedom of speech and being angry against backroom corporativist deals that steals their most basic civil liberties.

It is fantastic that so many people in Europe are rising up and taking a stand against ACTA and the Hollywood copyright cartel!

Though at the same time I am sad and ashamed that we in the former Yugoslavia are not participating in the Europe-wide protests against ACTA and that not a lot of people even care about this blatant attempt to censor the internet (except for a small community of internet activists that are centered around the local Pirate Parties, including myself (he said modestly ;-) )).

I do hope that the people in the former Yugoslavia will wake up and realize just how dangerous this act is for free speech on the internet.

Keeps them occupied from attacking the real enemy. People are so predicatable when being manipulated.
Destroy the insane oligarchy and install a sound money system should be their focus.

This country should be proud. We can’t take this lying down.

    @ gold bullet….

Doesn’t Slavia have a british style parliamentary system ??

You wont see a lot of opposition to this in Asia or Australia and I assume any of the commonwealth countries.

These silly American laws dont stand in our legal system. So it is interesting to watch countries that adopt this.

They are killing off their own access to information.

Why would China or any nation competing with the United States of NATO not want that.

This is a great opportunity for Asia to seize control of the web. We will put Chairman Mao’s face and propaganda everywhere. We’ll only say nice things abput the Russian government too.

A new private banking system is emerging in China and this will be based on Gold backed Bitcoins.

BTC will be of no use to Hollywood as American resistance to all forms of peer to peer systems is very strong. America likes Uncle Bill and Micro Shaft.

Buy silver because if Americans wont take BTC then I doubt anyone will be taking their Dollars.

@becky, I think some people need a slap so hard to wake themselves up that the huge neural state change to the normalcy bias hard wired axonal pathways would kill em off in shock first.Get yourself some silver and cover your pretty economic ass before the SHTF

    You snooze, you lose.

I’d say there are quite a few people already awake in Keiserville.

We have a parliamentary system, but it’s different than the British, since in Britain only 3 or 4 parties enter parliament and in the former Yugoslavia states (Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro) you can have up to 30 different parties in parliament and up to 15 different parties in government (like the current ruling coalition in Serbia has).

Also, we are different to Britain in that the whole of Serbia is one constituency and we won’t for parties that then later chose who will be in parliament, where in Britain people know that they are voting for say Joe Bag of Donuts, in example. ;-)

But you do make a good point. While the silly Americans are trying to censor themselves off of the internet and are trying to convince Europe to do the same, the Russians and the Chinese, IMHO, are just sitting patiently and waiting for the US to completely kill themselves off of the internet so that they could take it over.

But still, I think ACTA is dangerous and more people here in the former Yugoslavia should take notice of it and should raise their voice in opposition.
