COMPETITION FROM RT AND THE ‘KEISER REPORT’ HAS FORCED THE NYT into admitting it’s not pursuing truth and then asking its readers if they are interested in the truth…

I like to think we had a hand in this… Our reports on RT are so shockingly truthful that now the NYT is playing catch-up in the truth business. Something you would have thought they were doing all along.. But we told you otherwise. And that’s the truth.

  1. @M&S,

in a totalitarian regime, telling the truth is an act of treason.

  2. Harry says:

“Should The Times Be a Truth Vigilante? ”

If a so-called newsaper has to ask this, then they are already beyond the point, in a negative way, of what a newspaper should be.
It is a rhetorical question which should not have to be asked if they were serious.
    Really!

    @ General Rasta, SLA

If you must break the law, do it to seize power: in all other cases observe it.

Well if we didn’t, it cant be said we did not try with all the resources we had to hand …..

  6. Jasha Blanka says:

The Old Gray Lady is irrelevant! I get my news from RT, Zerohedge, Infowars and of course maxkeiser.com

  7. Eric says:

    @jischinger
still looking for a real country

Diogenes had little luck finding a single honest man in broad daylight.
What then be the odds of finding a gaggle of honest men engaged in journalism?
Not much has changed in Greece or the rest of the world in the two millennia since.

This is why I don’t view the current crisis as just economic, but more as a failure of human social interaction. It is not an economic black swan, it is a political plastic pink flamingo.

  8. snoop diddy says:

a propaganda piece to make them look like good guys… that from now on things are gonna even be better at the NYT

  9. Sharky says:

    This is hilarious!

Just shows that there is a major bull Market in the truth and everyone is trying to jump tracks , RT , KEISER REPORT, INFO WARS, KWN, ZEROHEDGE , Gerald Celente, are so far ahead of the curve its embarrassing for everyone else!

  10. gold bullet says:

”Should The Times Be a Truth Vigilante?”

No, they should just fuck off and die and leave the truth business to the professionals, like RT, Press TV, Alex Jones, Max Keiser & Stacy Herbert, ZeroHedge, Matt Taibbi, etc.

  11. User2323 says:

The NYT is an old publication. They’ve come this far doing it their way, the non-factual way, why the sudden change in heart?

  12. trooper dave says:

@ General Rasta, SLA 1984 is all around you. Beware the thought control machine.

Look for true prophets in the likes of Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Howard Zinn, Chris Hedges, Max and Stacy, RT, Gerald Celente and their ilk.

“Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it… All their ferocity was turned outwards, against the enemies of the State, against foreigners, traitors, saboteurs, thought-criminals. It was almost normal for people over thirty to be frightened of their own children.”(1984)
Will the children willingly accept being a slave because their master gives them an electronic toy so they can live out behaviour controls of killing other people. OR will they realise that communication and interaction between people face to face, is nourishment, that without they are devoid of meaning.

  13. trooper dave says:

In the US don’t the “news” channels own their news? The truth is out there Scully, but as it is the truth it is not own-able. There4 to own the news, as the Judge decreed they do, journalist must make it up for their owners. Then they can copyright it and have IP rights on it. America the home of the copyright, “do you have permission via payment to say those words, because a corporation has bought and paid for the truth and YOU are not allowed to even utter it; Or it’s off to gitmo under NDAA”

  14. Alf says:

There’s only one reason NYT has suddenly found morality…Sales!…People want the “TRUTH” and are slowly waking up to the “TRUTH” to why America finds itself in this desperate position…

There’s nothing more powerful than the Truth… corrupt people need to understand this.

Congratulations to all the truth patriots, you know who you are… and a special congratulations to the “Occupy Movement” for waking up and pricking the conscience of not just America but also the World… There’s a long way to go, but things are beginning to move.

  15. Flopot says:

This is a good news story. Thanks for posting.

    As Cenk puts it…

“When should you challenge it? How about every freaking time!”

And don’t forget we can do it aswell on MSM forums and comments.

  16. tsuki says:

I understand Arthur Brisbane has written another article where he claims he was “misunderstood”.

He just wanted to know how far reporters should go to establish the truth when “facts” are “fuzzy”, facts like global warming/climate change, class warfare, income inequality, the illegality of stealing client’s money, robosigning, etc.

  17. Catalyst says:

People still read that piece of toilet paper? NYT all the $H@*T that fit to print.
Propaganda press for the asses, I mean masses.
    Lol

  18. shteeeeeve! says:

“…how can The Times do this in a way that is objective and fair? ”
I dunno – how aboutby actually being ‘objective and fair’, Hmmmmm?
At least we can probably still count on them to focus most if not all their energy on the least important and relevant stories.

  19. Sleep Well Silver says:

NYT,WSJ it,s all the same elite bull. The name of the game is SHUN them people.

  20. Paul says:

Whether you had a hand in it or not this much is unquestionably true as I and others have often said in these pages:

“… Our reports on RT are so shockingly truthful that now the NYT is playing catch-up in the truth business. Something you would have thought they were doing all along.. But we told you otherwise. And that’s the truth.”

RT leaves the MSM in the dust when it comes to reporting on the significant issues affecting the US and the world and the Keiser Report plays a central role in that reporting.

One notable example was a recent On the Edge interview by Max with P.C. Roberts. A significant and interesting confrontation of perspectives on the financial catastrophe facing us today. A discussion of central importance like this should have been on MSM so it could be viewed by anyone interested in the financial well being of this country. Ironically, it was carried by an Iranian TV outlet.

So I guess all you can say is “Hey thanks Iran for letting us here in the US get some insight into the inner workings of our financial system”.

  21. RexKramer says:

LOL your kidding right Max? did you read that article. its the same old NYT…the truth in their minds is one-sided.

  22. evolutis says:

@General Rasta, SLA … “in a totalitarian regime, telling the truth is an act of treason.”
Agreed; problem identified … “complaining is silly”can we follow your observations up with specific action?… the gap between what it takes to support life, and the totalitarian monetary construct, is an opportunity path to an alternate prototype.

WE are far too technologically, capable to be ethical within the regime. i.e “A molecular computer is made of organic molecules instead of silicon. Chips built this way are not only potentially much smaller but also, because of the way they can be networked, able to do things that no other traditional computer, regardless of its speed, can do.” It is an absurdity to think that this capability is even remotely compatible, or sustainable with the knuckle dragging, [money, politics, religion] triumvirate.
If we stop and simply admit to that hinderance limitation, we can begin design with what is, not that which is a falsehood.

  23. Flopot says:

Cenk Uygur was great in the short clip and makes a great point – a lot of what passes for journalism are really just opinion pieces.

  24. Dementia 5 says:

NYT: Should we seek the truth?

Well, NYT, you could, alternately, close the shop and go seek unemployment insurance.

    How’s that sound, eh?

    Good ’nuff for ya?

  25. Vonda Bra says:

How can a newspaper of this dimension, even ask such a question ???
this is just another example of a US insanity update!
just like that silly form you had to fill in on the plane, before entering the US from Europe
where they asked questions like: Are you planning any terrorist attacks in the US ???

    I´m stunned!
    VonLove

  26. gold bullet says:

    UPDATE:

New York Times tells the truth!

None of its readers believe them!

  27. gold bullet says:

When there comes the time for any news media to ask their followers if they should seek out the truth, that is the point when they should close shop and voluntarily go to early retirement.

  28. Flopot says:

    Lol @ Gold Bullet

Yeh, that really would be shocking news, “Newspaper caught printing the truth!”

But where is the US at when a newspaper asks without a hint of irony if it should be printing the truth?

  29. gold bullet says:

    @Flopot

”But where is the US at when a newspaper asks without a hint of irony if it should be printing the truth?”

In deep, deep shit. And I mean that literally!

  30. Vonda Bra says:

    can you believe this?

    MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell: “Ron Paul a Fraud…Huntsman Came in 2nd Place”

    http://www.prisonplanet.com/msnbcs-lawrence-odonnell-ron-paul-a-fraud-huntsman-came-in-2nd-place.html

  31. Mary Genoud says:

Have the paper always publish the link, fact-check-side-bar.
As for truth, it’s a difficult call, since it is not a hard science like mathematics, but moreover a human analysis of factors. The problem; when do a few true facts exceed the overall truth or story, is it editorial judgement or the truth? People trusted NYT for decades as an unbias information and editorial source.
