The Olympus scam is astounding, pain web / UBS taking 35% profits. 35% profits is like a little tag that says American fraud. Merryl Lymch also worried on that 35% margin in Zimbabwe.

God save the Queen and pax Britannia and my thanks to Hilary (The Rodent) Clinton for making sure that gold was at Saif’s house

HSBC, Goldman Sachs and other top banks took on hundreds of millions in cash deposits. Hedge funds and private investment firms, including the Washington-based Carlyle Group, sold Libya’s investment authority complex financial products. The Libyan sovereign wealth fund bought more than $1 billion in U.S. Treasury bills, effectively giving Libya a chance to underwrite U.S. debt.

Steven Leib was excellent. Thanks for the insightful commentary on China. No disagreements with anything he said here.

110$ US for brent crude shows we have peaked. What ever happened to the Light Sweet Crude index? None of that stuff left, they are going after oil with Specific gravity as lower that 25.
We now put 10% ethanol into our high octane gas. That is a very convoluted but cheap subsidised way of converting diesel into something that can be used in a Gasoline engine.
    Gas condesates wont do it.
Steven Leib is correct, China is not doing this maliciously, When GW Bush effectively killed the Kyoto protocols, China decided to take up the stick.

BEIJING, June 17 (UPI) — China’s draft energy policy focuses on securing resources for the future more than slowing harmful greenhouse emissions, a Chinese environmental expert said.
“There is a stronger sense of energy security than climate change,” said Zou Ji, who retired as China’s international climate change negotiator last year, the emphasis is on securing an energy supply “where you can plant your foot on it,” said Li Junfeng, an senior Chinese policy maker on energy issues.

During China’s 12th Five Year Plan period (2011-2015), solar PV will be the fastest growing renewable energy. http://www.digitimes.com/Reports/Report.asp?datepublish=2011/10/11&pages=RS&seq=400&read=toc

During the 12th Five Year Plan period, solar PV will be the fastest growing renewable energy. At the end of 2010, solar PV system installations were only 822MWp in China, however, as the price of solar products has been decreasing rapidly in recent years, installations in China in the next five years will grow by tenfold to reach the target of 10GWp.
The 12th Five Year Plan also set up plans to regulate the environment of the solar PV industry. The plan sets to control the volume of crystalline silicon PV industries. The government will allocate resources to the main solar firms with targets such as having 1-2 firms with polysilicon production capacity of 50,000 tons and 2-4 firms with 10,000 tons of capacity. The government also hopes to have 1-2 firms with solar cell production capacity reaching 5GW and 8-10 firms reaching 1GW. Lastly, China hopes to have 3-4 solar equipment firms with annual revenues exceeding CNY1 billion.

Now the ¥ price and Gold. Kitco have been slow on the uptake when it come to the HK ¥ XAU market. This is effectively the kernel of the new reserve currency. The IMF will become irrelevant in the long term. Germany and Russia will no doubt draw closer.

China was on a Gold Standard, and a Silver standard until the CCP took over. I am not sure about Taiwan I think they are still on a silver standard, and the Macanese Pataca was on a silver standard in my life time. I remember the shiny silver pataca’s from when I was a Child in the 70′s.

It is well known that when the Pataca was first introduced the Chinese, being so accustomed to using silver for barter, were suspicious of this Fiat Currency and the paper pataca always circulated at a discount to the silver coins.

Anyways this years Silver Panda’s 2011 were supposed to be limited to three million, So far they have sold and minted six million and we are not even near New Years.

Six Million, Thats at least One Hundred times more silver coins than usual. four times more than last year already.

The viewership deserves better than just a beating drum, it needs a song. Come on Max and Stacy, show us you’re more than a one trick pony that just poops all day long.

    Re: CITI group fraud.
When our elected representitives fail to represent 99% of the population, Its natural we begin to represent ourselves…Is there any surprise here?…no. Look whats happend since 2008. The 99% of the population have taken, and continue to take the financial “hit” on behalf of the bankers whilst the bankers seem to be the only group of people who have not been affected by the banking collapse…ha!
Surely our elected representitives must see the stark injustice here, this CITI group fraud is only one of countless others, as Max rightly points out…but nothing is done, the 1% has become extortionately wealthy while the other 99% of the population on both sides of the Atlantic continue to see their wealth confiscated by government sanctioned austerity measures…unfortunately, this will inevitaly lead to social conflict.
CAN’T OUR ELECTED REPRESENTITIVES SEE THIS?
Our elected representitives must find the courage to act now or the pages of history will tell of a tragic story full of cowardly self-indulgent greed.

  15. @F beard ,my mate sold his fecal matter during his university days as part of a medical experiment to supplement his fees- granted he mainly spent it on beer but it could have been gold it was an option lol.

  29. @paddy, correct me if I’m wrong some1 but aren’t derivatives in this case an insurance policy against a loan arrangment to protect against credit defaults, its called hedging the bet. If there was a default they would look to the derivatives to pay it off (which of course has the potential to be not available credit wise).
Blythe’s notorious CDS’s that were fraudantly sold to Greece are merely insurance against USA mortgage holders defaulting or not.
Or did I miss something lol.

Any of the horrible stuff that recently happened to his country/people and himself, finally ending in this horrible execution and handling of all this etc… to my understanding certainly could never match anything that could be called “serving justice” whatsoever! ???
thats what really leaves a bitter taste with me by listening to you guys about that matter (like machines, not human beings)…. you just keep going to push your stuff forward, without saying anything about the “style” and circumstances, as if that never happend, and the way it was “served”!, as long as you can simply sell it with “GIABO”.

Got some silver phils I ordered today. Somehow they look like they’re bigger than maples. Premiums on those have done crazy things this week btw (i’m in EU zone). Much lower than before, as if they have much more supply for those, USD vs EUR FX rate also plays a role but still it’s remarkable. Of course I didn’t have the cash at the right time but I bet some did :-) Now they’re coming up again, still a phil is cheaper than a maple. A month ago that wasn’t so.

Fecal alchemy, shitty group, shitty statement from Max & Stacy concerning Gaddafi slaughter.

  54. Max and Stacy, as usual, have it backward: GS and the rest turn crap (paper) into gold: for themselves. As for the “fines” these WS bandits pay, that’s merely the State Socialist “cut” of the crony capitalist “deal”. Trying to think why Max and Co. get it wrong so often. Let’s see…1982, NYC…Max’s up there on the 18th floor, practicing the Art of the Deal, while I’m 18 floors below, bicycle messengering, sweating blood and breathing poison. Yeah, now I get it. “Change”? From these two and the OWSers? Don’t make me laugh.

  55. Al Kyder says:

    @ SilverCondom @ Sinbad @ Vonda Bra

I think that it is relevant that the big G was also intent on playing a bigger game, Imperialist striving by Gaddafi was something he admired and emulated vis Pax America.

Think of it this way, “you have to get behind someone before you can stab them in the back”. Gaddafi was played for a sucker, and lost.

He then realised he had a bag full of wall street “FECAL ALCHEMY” and decided like some other leaders to ditch the US $. He then made Gold Coins.

I also said that no harm would come to him so long as he had that gold safely stashed. He should have known this. They found the gold on Tuesday, Hilary Flew in to inspect it, and then he was dead. All within 36 hours.

No wonder they are patting each other on the back, job well done etc etc.

I would prefer it if Gaddafi was seen as a valuable lesson to other leaders, rather than some kind of hero to emulate.

The truth is Gaddafi was a kleptocrat in the great North African tradition which is the norm along the pirate coast.

  56. Sinbad says:

    @Al kyder

It is not a question of making Kadhafi looks like a hero. I was simply surprised to hear Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert approve and repeat the same binary vision that we hear in the main stream media. This situation needs a more subtle analyse than the good/evil portrait i’ve heard them make… even more when in the same episode we hear Stacy Herbert saying that british investors see the lybian “revolution” as a magnificient opportunity to make money… even more when we suspect that this is at bottom a financial war between France and Italy, a financial war using the opposition of Kadhafi’s regime to achieve their goals.

No wonder Obama doesn’t get time to run the country/world.

Between golf, shooting hoops and answering millions of Facebook thread heads he’s gonna be damned busy.

    hey guys, good show….

…however you had Stephen Leeb on and he spoke about going back in time and viewing the past with a knowledge of the future.

Could you now ask him to could you not pick up on his passed record?

I may not agree with Schiff, but he has got things right and sticks to his word. Leeb is just a troll.
