    This comes as absolutely no surprise. The US hand weapons to rebel Al Qaidi members in Libya. It hands weapons to the Taliban which are then used on the Afghan people. It supports ring-wing uprisings against socialist leaders in Chile, El Salvador and Cuba. It supplies arms to Somalia at the hate of famine. None of this comes as a surprise. But hey, at least Jones has pointed to something of mild interest!

    You poor person. Like you I am sick of the hyperbolic inanity of Jones and his henchmen. It is simple to criticise the system as it stands; much more difficult to conceive of a better one. Moreover, Jones resorts to the most awful fact twisting around – almost as bad as the corporate media but in reverse. I come here to read god financial stories and to hear good political analysis. What I like most about Max and Stacy is that they do not have to fold everything in upon itself. They do not advocate a congealing truth structure, nor do they allow religion to enter into their arguments. I respect them because of this. My past experience of Jones has revealed to me that he is a very arrogant man and a man embittered by any new ideas (his debate with Peter Joseph being a good case in point). Moreover, if you dare to contradict his official homology, you are rubbished, screamed at, verbally abused and dismissed. There is nothing democratic in that. Still, it takes all types to make a world.

Are we seeing history replay, or are the new rebels merely misled by mercantile interests? In the replay of the Whiskey Rebellion; whose interests trump? What constitutes tyranny? Isn’t tyranny the abolition of bonds between man and nature as dictated by the uber-corporate/capital?

    I find it hard to believe that anyone who has given a decent to listen to AJ can come to that conclusion. He continuously fires off solutions:

    -anything to do with self-sufficiency (PM, storable food, firearms, solar, etc)
    -infowar (darkness melts under light)
    -living upright, moral, happy lives (that is a key win against psycho parasites and my personal favorite methodology)

    Those solutions of AJ’s are all safe/desirable for the establishment:
    – self-sufficiency = waste your money buying things from your corporate masters
    – infowar: what does that mean? Visiting the website and staying hermetically sealed, or does it mean go out and talk to everyone, actively spreading truth beyond the already-converted?
    – ‘living upright, moral, happy lives’: we already are doing all those things! The problem isn’t with ‘us’, it’s with ‘THEM’

    My litmus test for anyone, but especially including politicians and public persons is the following: are they encouraging people to protest, or not? Are they focused on actions, or is it entirely on elaboration of how things are bad? Are they still trying to work this out using the tools of the system?

    I have seen (and continue to see) so much shocking truth that frankly, I don’t need more exposes on corruption, abuse of power, murder, rape, and torture. AJ is useful in that he helps uncover more truth, and he certainly has a lot of guts in doing it, so for all that I am thankful to him, but I am puzzled by his lack of satisfying conclusions. Maybe he figures he really would be a dead man if he were to push for protests or other possibly effective actions?

    I do not always agree with Alex Jones, but he is one of the very few that bring issues out to view. He has a good mixture of interesting guests. Would be nice if he would not interrupt them, but these people would not be seen otherwise.

    Alex is not off base with his thinking. There are a group of psychopaths taking over the planet. They also go out into space. The things he touches on are only the tip of the ice burg, but at least he gets these issues out. Don’t know if he is hired help or not. I appreciate his take on things.

    – self-sufficiency. Preserving/growing one’s wealth and taking steps to insure against disaster are not acts of a slave. Further, there are plenty of companies operating under free market principles that provide said goods and services. I do not, in any way, feel enslaved by my gold/silver dealer; rather, I’m quite happy they are providing the service!

    -infowar. clearly AJ encourages everyone to spread the word. He and his listeners are not merely preaching to the choir–this is evidenced by his growth curve over the years. That is, if it were mere preaching to the choir then this thread on MKC wouldn’t even exist.

    -living well. Personally I am skeptical of many political solutions and activism. I believe the greatest effect we can make is in our personal lives with family and friends (especially young people)–it is a long-term perspective of building a better world.

    We aren’t there yet. Most people running fast like lemmings off-cliff-side; but I got faith. It’s coming.

    If you get attacked by someone, you can either run away and try to protect yourself from the next attack (eg: spending time and money figuring out how to protect oneself from pollution and radiation caused by the government’s insane abuse of power) OR you can decide to fight back against your aggressors (eg: encourage massive protests).

    Defensive measures ‘make sense’ and can be argued for, and in the absence of anyone calling for effective offensive measures, all by yourself you feel like you have nothing left but to defend yourself at best you can – IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR A LEADER TO LIMIT THINGS TO ONLY DEFENSE!

    Are you going to bunker down and give them time to attack you again, or are you going to stand up and fight for your rights? ‘Fight’ is a large word: lazy Americans just need to peacefully protest and it’s game over. 3% of America protesting = 10 million people, so it really would not take much, a’ight?

    As to mass protest, will that work? I don’t know, maybe.

    Did it work in Cairo? From what I’ve gathered, no; it is “new boss = old boss”. (though Max may say different)

    Has it worked in Greece? Thus far: no.

    For the US, I don’t see anything like that happening until things get as bad as in the above countries. And even if it does, what are the chances of of gathering large numbers into DC to unite along a single idea?

    Not likely. UNLESS, there is first a successful INFOWAR. It is the Idea that will win; it is the awakening process that will lead to victory.

    At this point, I believe the country is still too divided in the left/right system. When enough wake up beyond that system, then, maybe, something like you’re suggesting would be possible.

    Keep arguing for your great AJ’s avoidance of protests, keep on implying that protesting is pointless, when in fact the US didn’t stop bombing Vietnam (to look at more recent history) ’till mass protests helped force the issue.

    Especially considering how today, when even the relatively wealthy small business owners are starting to notice how the system is not even geared for them, there is a real chance for MASSIVE PROTESTS.
