    U.S. policy since Reagan has been to strip mine American citizens of their present and future wealth and expatriate that wealth beyond the U.S. border, where it will never be seen again.

    Manduca’s mistake is in believing that the U.S. government exists to serve the citizens trapped within its borders. It doesn’t. The U.S. government has been captured by multinational banks and corporations who now have all their money everywhere but the U.S. That’s why the U.S. is bailing out the rest of the world, apparently at its own expense.

    America are also giving away laws for the benefit of protecting corporations:

    Democracy Now had an explosive first headline today;
    Court Exempts Corporations from Alien Tort Law http://www.democracynow.org/2010/9/29/headlines#1

    As I understand it, a corporation is a legal person, it has the same rights as a natural person except for the right to vote in an election. Now this shocking ruling in US court eliminates the pain-in-the-ass-problem for a corporation of being sued (hold responsible) for any human rights violations done abroad on behalf of the company. Let loose the dogs of war!

    “…In a separate opinion, Second Circuit Judge Pierre Leval criticized the ruling, writing, “The majority opinion deals a substantial blow to international law and its undertaking to protect fundamental human rights… So long as they incorporate, businesses will now be free to trade in or exploit slaves, employ mercenary armies to do dirty work for despots, perform genocides or operate torture prisons for a despot’s political opponents, or engage in piracy—all without civil liability to victims…” (from Democracy Now)

    Repeating his word;
    “So long as they incorporate, businesses will now be free to trade in or exploit slaves, employ mercenary armies to do dirty work for despots, perform genocides or operate torture prisons for a despot’s political opponents, or engage in piracy—all without civil liability to victims.” – What a disgrace America! What a disgrace!

  15. Marc Authier says:

    Hell. It’s the same thing with all empires. Comes a time when the empire cost more to upkeep that the benefits of having the Satan Beast alive. It’s not quite true Stacy and Max. I remember Rome.

    Rome had exactly the same problems. In the beginning it was fun with all the slaves. But there was a problem. This illusory wealth based on the ‘Roman dream’ like the ‘American dream’ was based on rape and plunder. When there was nothing left to plunder the gold and the silver dissapeared to China and India. Hummmm ? and the taxes and corruption exploded. Hummmm ?? Seems familiar hey ?

    Death to the EMPIRE ! Debt to the EMPIRE ! :)

  16. Marc Authier says:

    China has found an original way of denutting the Pentagon. No more rare earths for you dear Pentagon. Petit problemo. Smart lazer guided bombas of the Empire need ABSOLUTELY rare earths and China is saying to the Pentagon to go fuck themselves. And naturally since ‘wonderful’ shit globalization was introduced USA and the rest the world doesn’t have a lot of rarer earths mines. It’s good thing. Maybe Hillary Clinton will keep quiet and speak softly to the Chineese ? Or maybe they will after all nuke Teheran and kill 10 million Iranians ? In the name of peace on Earth and harmony bien sûr and the chosen people.

    The clowns in Washington are in peculiar situation.They must follow the lines of their shady puppet masters, but at the same time are scared that will be removed from office if they don’t show any good actions for the masses.
    The banksters don’t give a s$%&t about the sheeple because they no longer depend on their labor.
    The politicos are going to be reshuffled a bit this fall, but that will not change a damn thing for the silly game cheering, beer blurping, couch stinking laborer.

  18. Ilinois Brandon says:

    It’s called greed and corruption. This is the problem with empires. I actually as an American welcome the end of our empire. The America before WWII was admired not hated in the world, we didn’t kill millions around the world and we minded our own business on the world stage.

  19. cultamerica says:

    Tao Jonesing, “since Reagan”? Did you mean “since Washington” by chance?
