    @Adam C,

    So everyone is a liar? But I know I am not so I can believe that wiki leaks isn’t either.

    ” But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 [bold added]

  5. FranSix says:

    I had hoped that spot gold would trade sideways until the 34-week EMA, but the drop says that we have now fulfilled the basic requirement for another rally, if you take your analogy from previous moves in the gold price, such as 2009.

    I presume that Eurozone central banking interests will be dumping the physical, as its always the central bank plunging the price of gold in the end which seems to coincide with our capitulation move. The Eurozone is bound for lower discount rates and changes to policy, thus I can see why they are attempting to keep gold prices under wraps, with no effect to interest rates whatsoever. But furthermore, I would speculate that negative repo rates or even perhaps a negative discount rate will form a part of the scenario this fall.

    The discount rate in the U.S. is so close to bullion lease rates that commercial banking must be pretty nervous about Euro central bank unannounced divestment.

    Notwithstanding, you have a surge of material advances in copper, oil and whatnot. I would say that a library full of moribund derivatives contracts gathering dust on the Fed’s books are about to be brought out to trade once again. And to make that feasible, you would need a whole catalogue of agreements in principle in place prior to clearing the books.

    Seen a few reports and articles about the scaling down of operations in Iraq but nothing about where all this gear is heading. Hearing this I also know you you still can’t take so much as a leak (scuse the pun) outside of the Green Zone without troops, APC’s and air support so what gives ?

  13. F. Beard says:

    What bugs me about oil (not CO2) is that if the Germans could synthesize 40% of their petroleum needs in WWII from coal then why can’t we have a huge oil synthesis industry in the US? It seems it is not that we need oil from the Middle East but that it must be CHEAP oil even if it endangers world peace. And why on earth do we waste natural gas and coal on electricity generation when nuclear is the obvious candidate for that?

  14. Bonn says:

  34. F. Beard says:

    Deweese been castigating you. Happy thing-a-may-jig

    Such tactics have been used to stop banks from financing development in Third World countries, because for these poor people to acquire luxuries such as electricity and clean water is, in the minds of Max Keiser and his gang, β€œunsustainable” and must be stopped. from http://www.newswithviews.com/DeWeese/tom39.htm

    First, government backed fractional reserve banks have nothing to do with free market capitalism so to Hell with them = score 1 for Stacy and Max aka Boonie and Clyde aka Boris and Natasha. However, S & M think too much CO2 is being produced so DeWeese might have a point too.

    But as far as being anti-business, boycotts seem perfectly legitimate to me so congratulations to Max for his clever strategy.

  41. F. Beard says:

    @Adam C

    Oh, OK. The point I was making there was that honest people can believe in the honesty of others.

  42. frances snoot says:

    Here’s your truth, F. Beard:

    “He had learned well the law of club and fang, and he never forewent an advantage or drew back from a foe he had started on the way to Death. He had lessoned from Spitz, and from the chief fighting dogs of the police and mail, and knew there was no middle course. He must master or be mastered; while to show mercy was a weakness. mercy did not exist in the primordial life. It was misunderstood for fear, and such misunderstandings made for death. Kill or be killed, eat or be eaten, was the law; and this mandate, down out of the depths of Time, he obeyed.”
    β€” Jack London (The Call of the Wild)

    Anything else in life is merely rhetoric.

  43. frances snoot says:

    There’s no return to the world of aesthetic cruelty ruled by religious apartheid, F. Beard. Love becomes hate very quickly in the world we will know, and compassion leaves no mark.

    Except the mark in a child’s eyes.

  44. F. Beard says:

    I am a libertarian; I have no desire to force my personal beliefs on anyone which is totally in accord with my religious beliefs. However, I will advocate some of them such as “Thou shalt not steal”. If our banking and money model was not based on government violation of that command then the world would be a much nicer place as I imagine the US was before 1913.

    Well, of course. As long as there is no morality aligned with power the only thing that will grow is injustice.

  47. GGees says:

    @ Bonn you Indians must love Italians, you had one as your prime minister lolol

  48. Mother Earth says:

    @frances snoot

    There is mercy in the animal world. The idea it is always a struggle is wrong. Animals sleep a lot. Animals do kill to eat, but much less often due to competition. Only if the chances of having offspring for males trends to zero in defeat does it make sense to risk death in a challenge..

    In a steady state situation your species wil evolve until it has to become lazy..

  54. Youri Carma says:

    @Mother Earth

    Because you are a small thinker and can not imagine big schemes because that’s ouside your little box you’ll never get the big picture.

    It’s all about bringing in a world government after WOIII also because this is the last change, the satanist think, to bring in the New World Order.

    If they succeed they will bring in a world police state allready existing in the U.S. and other countries to start their “Endlosing” in killing of 80% of the world population if they havn’t used their nukes allready cause this will obviously frontrun their end goal.

    There never was a free market.

    Cap and Trade is the Capstone of their world wide taxing system in which they can even put a tax on you breathing (and that’s no joke)

  58. Youri Carma says:

    Banks plan for loss of eurozone member 28 July 2010, The Financial Times

    Banks have started early-stage planning to deal with the potential fallout on the derivatives and bond markets of a European country being forced to leave the euro.

    After having received queries by some banks about the impact of such an event, the body representing the swaps and derivatives industry last week contacted some of its members to form a group to consider what they may need to do if a eurozone state is ejected.

    Yep, the Terminator is back.

    Soon Schwarzenegger will not only be know as the Terminator from movie but also for the Termination of all the workforce and finance of the state of California.

    Hopefully this time he didn’t say “I’ll be Back!”

    But he probably has to say “Hasta La vista Baby” to the state of California if it has to default later.

  61. F. Beard says:

    California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger orders workers to take leave Youri Carma

    The state tax revenues could be fixed if the US Treasury simply did the right thing and bailed out the victims of the government backed banking cartel with a sufficient and equal distribution of new legal tender fiat to every US adult combined with a 100% reserve requirement on new lending. The banks would be fixed too in nominal terms.

  62. frances snoot says:

    What separates us from animals? Now here I refer not to domesticated animals, but to wild animals. Is it the ability to be seduced-persuaded by words? In which case, don’t you agree that anything beyond the “law of the club and the fang” is merely rhetoric?

    Now we enter a world where force prevails; where justice is not blind; where the capacity to feel is not reenforced by letters.

    And so we know truly what it is to be animal in a world ruled by brute force.

    The law of nature is force only. Any meakness is rewarded with cruelty: unless the very act of meekness reinforces strength.

    We, swayed as we are by rhetoric, look to words for our drink, our mead with bread.

    Will it be a grave disappointment when we see the words for their very nature: dishonest, brute, grinding, and deceitful?

    I ploy my words in an attempt to illustrate their sorry state. And yet: I love words yet more than life.

  63. frances snoot says:

    M & S — Weaponized information, the idea of CIA attempting to crowdsource intel analysis, enjoyed the dialogue this week… you guys are doing some great commentary on media and social trends. When Stacy talked about “Concern Trolls” on RT I spat bong water all over my yoga mat.

  65. Youri Carma says:

    @Tofu Charlie

    Donnow if you heard Tarpleys analyzes of Wiki but I think he’s right.

    They use Wiki to target Pakistan and suddenly the Taliban suppose to have Stingers. Don’t believe one word of it. More BS about Bin Laden.

    Webster Tarpley: Media’s Wikileaks”CIA Style Spin”Gives Obama Excuse to Invade Iran & Pakistan! 1/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0sK4TjcUd4

  66. Tofu Charlie says:

    @Youri — haven’t been listening to Tarpley lately. He kinda gets on my nerves, but will try to listen to this, thanks. I thought there were still Stingers left over in Afghan from the old days… US tried to collect ’em after the Soviet withdrawl but couldn’t have got ’em all. There are surely some less sophisticated MANPADS, and this could’ve been what some of these reports were talking about…

  67. Youri Carma says:

    @Tofu Charlie

    Mmmm could be if the could get the batteries cause they run out quikly. Nearly had the change to practice with the Stinger on an air show with the Red Arrows present. Imagine practicing on one the top Aerobatics team with a Stinger LOL …. but blast the batteries had just run out.

  68. Youri Carma says:

    In the case of the Taliban Stinger I mean aged or old batteries wich need replacement not just empty batteries of cause.

  69. Bonn says:

    @ GGees
    Sadly true we have an Italian in charge Manmohan Singh is just a front
    Sonia Ghandhi is actually in charge she heads the Congress
    If you have noticed Sonia Ghandhi attire ;-> she only wears Indian clothes and also has changed her name to sound Indian her real name is Edvige Antonia Albina Maino
    But our Public is so ignorant & un-educated that tey fell fer a chick who changed her name and married into a family who’s name coincided with our great Mahatma Gandhi
    Many idiots tink that the current Gandhi family is / are directly related to Gandhi where in the truth is there is ZERO lineage to the Mahatma Gandhi
    oh an Mahatma = the true great one in hindi
    the sad part is only about 1 or 2 % of India I tink knows tis
    they think she is
    A) Indian ie born in India
    B) Her birth name is Sonia
    C) She wears Indian clothes so must be true
    C) related to Mahatma Gandhi

    All of tis lies to stay in Power
    Even opposition partys know this but do not make a hue and cry over the fact cause meddlein or confrontin the Gandhi name will destroy you here politically or and even Physically
    I gues the Gandhi legacy left a 2 edge sword behind

    For some people reflecting on possibilities is conjecture for others it’s paranoid conspiracy theories.
    It may be a pure co-incidence but hearing Bernanke may place another order for another dozen printing presses later in the year while seeing the conflict machine running out of gas with the prospects dimming of opening another front anytime soon,( President Clinton thumbing her nose in the demilitarized zone was a funny episode ).
    With this situation on the ground where an invisible galaxy of derivatives is subtly influencing social mores soap opera story lines,aging actresses first child time-lines while being followed closely by people purported to be investigative journalists,
    the scale of the gusher-leak may indicate an exceedingly interesting New Year.
    Imagine mortality rates if the moolah to buy bullets dried up? People in conflict zones might go back to growing food instead of living out Big screen blockbusters hoping to reach primetime and gain a rung in the social pyramid. then who’d buy our dehydrated milk.
    If common sense wins our resource backed economy is worthless!!!
    Quick! Organize a gusherleak distract the taxpayers before they learn of concepts like accountability!
    Perhaps there’ll be a soda pop concert at the North Pole where we get to vote for which media muppet gets fed to the starving Polar Bears next! (Artists of distinction get the Walrus option).

    Great thoughts in this show.
    Regarding govt. listening in, some 10 years ago people were saying that the ESCHELON system was intercepting and reading every email and searching for keywords.

    To protest, a few jokesters decided to include all the scariest keywords they could think of at the end of their email on a certain day…in hopes of crashing the system.

    But I haven’t heard much about this since then. Anybody know if the US Govt. is reading every email. Have they every said they are not?
